The boat was the thing nobody had mentioned. Two loads had already gone out of a full three-bed house. Furniture, white goods, the usual bones of a lived-in place — when the team found it sitting at the bottom of the garden, and above it, jammed into the rafters of the garage, a stack of timber somebody had been saving for a project that never happened. The owner was handling the whole clearance at a distance, sorting it all by email and phone, and took the news well. "It's quite the adventure isn't it !
🙂" they wrote, when we sent through the photo. It was. The boat and the wood wouldn't go in either of the two loads booked for the day. Too much weight, too much bulk — so our lead did a tot-up at the end and we agreed a return with an extra load to finish it.
