25 clearances have landed in Lancashire postcodes. The county runs from the Ribble Valley down to the Manchester edge and out to the coast at Blackpool and Lytham, and those are three different jobs.
Coast, mill town and valley
The Fylde coast — Blackpool, Lytham, St Annes, Fleetwood — has a lot of converted guesthouses and flats above shops, and a lot of long-settled retirement households. The housing is dense and the parking is seasonal, which matters more than people expect: a street that is workable in November is a different street in August.
The old mill towns — Burnley, Accrington, Nelson, Rossendale — are stone terraces on hillsides, often with cellars, and the cellar is usually where the volume sits.
Preston, Chorley, Leyland and the Ribble Valley are newer and easier: driveways, turning space, and more house-sale work than estate work.
