44 clearances have landed in the borough's own postcodes — W6 at Hammersmith and SW6 in Fulham.
Terraces, and where the van goes
Fulham is street after street of Victorian terrace, much of it still whole houses and much of it converted. Hammersmith is the same with more flats and more traffic. Between them the job is decided by two things: whether the property is a house or a floor of one, and where the van can legally stand.
Parking is controlled across effectively the whole borough. On the Fulham side the streets are narrow enough that a Luton blocks them, so we plan for a short stop and a longer carry rather than parking outside and taking our time.
Basements are common here and are usually fuller than anybody expects.
What the work is
Sales and end-of-tenancy in the main, with probate through solicitors. Plenty of the people instructing us are not in London; we work from keys and photograph every room at the end.
