We have been doing house clearance in Watford since 2007. And out the back, a glass table with its chairs and the umbrella. No mattresses on the list at all, and a garden that needed nothing beyond the furniture standing in it.
There was a piano in the story too, though not ours. It belonged to a neighbour and the household were sorting the lift between themselves. "No worries on the piano - we'll make sure that our neighbour can get the help they need to move it by the end of the weekend at the latest." So it stayed where it was. Where the load actually goes
None of it goes in a hole in the ground if it can be helped. Some things can't ride in the general load. Mattresses go their own way as well. Fridges and freezers are classed as hazardous because of the gas in them and are handled under a separate route again.
