Around 90 people a month look for house clearance in Gwynedd, which is high for a county this size and says something about how people here name where they live.
We have not yet worked in Gwynedd, and there is no sense pretending otherwise. What we can tell you is how a job here would run.
Distance and stone
Gwynedd is mountains, coast and Welsh-speaking villages, and it is a long way from where our vans start. A clearance here is planned as a trip with a date fixed in advance — not a loose promise about next week — and priced honestly for what that takes.
The stock is stone-built and old: cottages with low doorways and stairs that turn, chapels and farmhouses with outbuildings, and terraces in Bangor and Caernarfon built for quarry workers. Slate roofs, thick walls, narrow lanes.
Anglesey is over the bridge and covered on the same terms. Snowdonia — Eryri — is the mountain part of the county and the drives there are longer than the map suggests.
What we cover
Pages below run across LL and the SY districts inside the county.
