If the team anticipates any changes to the estimate provided, we will notify you as soon as possible with updated options/any cost implications so we can adhere to your instruction."

Where we work: the Salisbury postcode districts
Salisbury sits at the bottom of the county and its own postcode districts run SP1 to SP5.
SP1 covers the city east of the river — Milford, Laverstock, Bishopdown, Old Sarum and Ford, plus the streets running up towards the ring road. Victorian terraces with no off-street parking, then post-war semis, then the newer estates on the high ground.
SP2 is the western half: Fisherton, Bemerton, Bemerton Heath, Harnham across the water meadows, Quidhampton and out to Wilton. The Gurkha and forces community is well established in SP2, and we have cleared for welfare organisations based in the district as well as for private families.
SP3 is the big rural one — the Nadder valley through Wilton, Dinton, Tisbury, Hindon, Chilmark and the Deverills, and the villages that sit off single-track lanes with flint walls either side. Passing places every hundred yards, and a Luton that has to reverse a fair distance if something comes the other way. We plan those for early starts so we are loaded and out before the school run and the tractors.
SP4 takes in Amesbury, Durrington, Larkhill, Bulford, Shrewton and the plain, along with Winterbourne and the Woodfords down the Avon. Service quarters and village houses, mostly with parking at the front, which is half the battle.
SP5 runs south — Downton, Alderbury, Whiteparish, Coombe Bissett, Broad Chalke and Bowerchalke down the Ebble, towards the Hampshire and Dorset borders. Long lanes, old cottages, and lofts that have never been emptied.
Wiltshire Council is the unitary authority for all of it and runs the household recycling centres, but a van full of a whole house is not a job for those — trade waste rules apply, and that is what a licensed carrier is for.

The order of a day
We start at nine. The team walks the property first — every room, the loft, the garage, the shed — and the office rings you with what they have found before a single item is lifted. Then it is room by room, working out to the van.
Nothing needs boxing up before we arrive. Drawers, wardrobes, the airing cupboard, the shelf above the boiler: the team empties all of it, lifts carpets and underlay if you want them gone, and sweeps through afterwards. If something turns up that looks as though it matters — deeds, war medals, photographs, a tin with notes in it — it goes on the kitchen worktop for you rather than into the van. That happens more often than you would think in a house lived in for fifty years.
A single property is often done and swept in a day. Where it is not, we say so at the walk-round and tell you what the second day involves.
What cannot go on the van with everything else
Upholstered furniture is the one that surprises people. Sofas, armchairs, footstools, anything with treated foam inside it count as POP items — persistent organic pollutants — and since 2023 the rules say that foam is kept apart from ordinary household waste and destroyed under its own controls. So it travels separately, on its own docket. Mattresses are their own line too: not POPs, but they go for separate recycling and eat a load of space on the van.
Gas bottles, half-used tins of gloss, solvent, thinners and old garden chemicals also ride separately and go to a site permitted to take them. If there is a shed full of that behind the house, say so when you ring and we will bring the right containers.
Everything sound enough to be used again is offered round the charity shops, furniture projects and reuse schemes before it goes near a tip. What is left is booked into a permitted transfer station, weighed and recorded. The waste transfer note is raised when the load is tipped, and we send our copy on with the paperwork.
