Paisley and the towns west of Glasgow.
Paisley has a great deal of tenement stock — flats reached by a common stair shared with neighbours, where everything is carried down and there is nowhere to stage it. That decides the day far more than the contents do.
Beyond the town it turns to villages and farmland towards the Clyde coast.
Confirmation, not probate
Scottish estates go through confirmation rather than probate. The document has a different name and a different shape, and an executor searching for English forms will not find what they need. It changes nothing about how we work: we invoice the executor, the solicitor or the estate, there is no deposit, and payment can come from the estate once it settles.
