Town centre, and everything south of it
The centre and the Thornton Heath side is dense: tower blocks, converted terraces, flats above shops, and parking that is controlled and enforced. A flat above a parade with no lift and a shared stair is a slower job than the square footage suggests.
South of the centre — Purley, Coulsdon, Sanderstead — the ground rises and the housing changes completely.
