On the morning itself the van was held up by an accident on the road — not one involving our lot, thankfully — and we rang to say ten o'clock rather than the earlier slot we'd given her. Reuse first, tipping last
Nothing that still works gets crushed if we can help it. Furniture in decent order, kitchenware, tools, books and bric-a-brac are set aside on the van and offered on to charity shops and reuse projects rather than tipped.
