Cluttered house, loft & garage clearance in Basildon, Essex
Abacus House Clearance was appointed to clear a cluttered four-bedroom, semi-detached house, as well as the garage and loft, in Basildon, Essex.
The house had not been lived in for several months. The client told us that it needed to have a large amount of junk removed so that it could be put up for sale. There was indeed a lot of junk, so we had to hire a skip on top of using our vans to cope with the extra volume.
Abacus house clearance team removed sofas, tables and other furniture from the sitting-room, as well as cushions, a stereo system, an exercise machine, packed suitcases, ornaments and loose items.
The dining-room had to be cleared of a table, chairs and a cupboard, as well as another stereo system, books and ornaments. Books and other items were also lying in a downstairs corridor.
Beds, mattresses, bedding, wardrobes, lamps, etc, were removed from the bedrooms, as well as a large amount of bric-a-brac lying on tables and floors. The loft was full of black plastic bags containing all sorts of unwanted items.
The house clearance team disconnected the cooker, washing-machine and fridge/freezer, and removed rotten food from the latter and from kitchen cupboards. They also cleared the kitchen of utensils, china, ornaments, cleaning substances, etc.
The garage contained garden seats, cardboard boxes, tools, which were also removed. The Abacus house clearance team transported the unusable items to the recycling centre in Basildon, and packed items, including a number of lamps and ornaments, that were sellable and delivered them to local charity outlets.
The team of four completed the job in under five hours. The client later praised the team for their helpfulness and professionalism.
